A team is a group of members inside your organization. Teams let you set [budgets](https://tessarac.com/docs/acog/govern/budgets.md), [rate limits](https://tessarac.com/docs/acog/govern/rate-limits.md) and [model access](https://tessarac.com/docs/acog/govern/model-access.md) for a group of people at once, and report usage by team. In the budgets API a team is called a **group**.

Open **Admin → Teams**. You need the **Create teams and manage their membership** permission (`admin:teams`).

## Creating a team

Create the team and name it. You are added as its owner.

## Members

Open a team to manage its roster. You can add or remove one or several members at once; each member has a team role of owner, admin or member. Teams are made of existing members of the organization.

A person can be on several teams. For budgets, a person on several teams with budgets counts against the team with the highest limit.

Removing a member from a team unbinds their keys that were bound to the team; the keys keep working.

## Deleting a team

Keys bound to the team are unbound, not disabled.
